So then, let’s talk about how to uninstall Star Citizen on Windows.[1]
Uninstall Star Citizen Using Windows Control Panel
- Open the Control Panel by searching for it in the Windows search bar or right-clicking on the Start button and selecting “Control Panel.”
- In the Control Panel, look for the “Programs” or “Programs and Features” option and click on it.
- Scroll through the list of installed programs and locate “Star Citizen.”
- Select “Star Citizen,” and then click on the “Uninstall” or “Change” button. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
Uninstall Star Citizen Using the Game Launcher
If you installed Star Citizen using a game launcher like the official Roberts Space Industries (RSI) launcher, you can also uninstall it through the launcher:[2]

- If prompted, log in with your RSI account.

- Delete the Star Citizen Game Folder: The default installation path for Star Citizen is
C:\Program Files\Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizen
You can delete this folder and all its contents. - Remove Any User Data: Check your “Documents” folder for a “Star Citizen” folder and delete it if it exists. This folder may contain saved game data and settings.
